beauty.jpgThey are both designed to improve our appearance and contour the cheekbones, but which one to go for? Who should use blushes and who will benefit more from a bronzer? Who should avoid blushes and who should stay away from bronzers? How to properly apply blushes and bronzers to make the best of them?

A blush OR a bronzer?

Women with fair complexion should use blushes. This way, their pale complexion will gain a healthy and natural look. However, a bronzer looks best when the skin is tanned or naturally dark, olive. Remember that the bronzer can be up to two tones darker than the skin, otherwise, you’ll get a mask effect.

Who should avoid blushes and bronzers?

Blushers should be avoided by women who often blush or have capillary complexion. In turn, let the women with a pale complexion avoid the bronzer.

How to apply a blush?

It is most convenient to apply a blush with a large, angled brush. The method of application depends on the shape of the face.

  • Oval face: apply it to the centre of the cheeks.
  • Round face: make a duckface then apply the blush from the middle of the ear towards the mouth.
  • Square face: apply the blush from the temples in the direction of the wings of the nose.
  • Rectangular face: apply the blush horizontally to the cheekbones.
  • Heart-shaped face: apply the blush under the cheekbones.
Remember to avoid applying the blush close to the lips and nose.

How to apply a bronzer?

It is best to apply the bronzer with a large brush. Apply the first, thin layer to the place where the skin tans the most quickly, that is on the forehead, nose, cheekbones and the chin. Then, blend it out evenly. Do not forget about the neck to avoid getting the effect of a mask. Women with a round face, instead of applying a bronzer to the cheekbones, should apply it underneath, so that their face will appear slimmer.
Many women tend to apply the bronzer in the way the blushes are usually applied.

You do not need to choose one: the blush and the bronzer can be used at the same time; then we will emphasize both the healthy blush and the tan. However, in this case, the blush and bronzer should match both the skin and each other.
